Mike Shore

Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, or IPF, is an incurable disease that scars the lungs and reduces a person’s ability to breathe. Qualifying patients can get on the national lung transplant list, and pray that they will be called for the risky surgery that has a 50% five-year survival rate. Mike Shore is an IPF patient, and he had reached the final stages of the disease before receiving a transplanted lung in January, 2009. Mike and his wife, Christa, have turned to their religion to help them through this tumultuous time, and share their faith and experiences with other IPF patients.
